Fill in what you're owed, hand over a link or a QR code, and the payment settles
straight to your address. No processor in between, no three-day wait, and the receipt is a block
explorer entry anyone can check.

Why an invoice is a good test of a payment chain. Card rails take a cut and hold the money
for days; bank transfers are cheap but slow and need matching reference numbers. An invoice paid
in USDC arrives whole and final, and the reference is the transaction itself. What that needs from
the chain is unglamorous: predictable settlement and no second token to fund. Both are things you
can only check by actually paying one.

Paying yourself is fine for testing — only gas actually leaves.
